“This magic moment” by the Drifters
Thesis: “This magic moment” by the Drifters holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite songs of all time, not only is it an all-time classic but it represents a great deal of who I am as a person.

    b. The lyrics simple yet passionate, causing the listener to desire a “magic moment”. As corny/weird as it may seem, I’ve always considered the people I’ve dated and whether or not there’s a magical element… The true test for this hopeless romantic: does this song start to play in the back of my head when I’m with him??
    c. This song belongs to a genre of music known as “doo wop”, which is heavily dependent on vocal harmonies… Coming from a family of women who love to harmonize with each other (Grandmother, mother, and three aunts), I have great appreciation and love for this style of music.

  17. “Bright Side of the Road”- Van Morrison

rather feel my way through life based on
    what makes me happy.
a.The lyrics are about how life is short
and you should enjoy it, which is a
    philosophy that really resonates with

    want to do.
b.I’m all about the “bright side of the
road.” Literally, I’m obsessed with the

Maine to sunny Southern California), but
also I always surround myself with
    happy, pleasant things.
c.I don’t stress all that much compared to
my friends, so I’m usually “helping them
share the load” of their stressors.
2.I care a lot about relationships.
a.Part of the reason I love Van Morrison
so much is because it reminds me of my
parents, because they love him too and we
all listen to his albums together.
    b.Cheesy love songs make me happy—I can’t
    help it.
c.I think the most important part of life is
relationships, and the best way to enjoy
life is with people you love.
